Punjab Land Registry Office (PLRA)

The Punjab Land Registry Office (PLRA) has introduced a land and property registration system. Punjab property owners can check records through the Land Registry Management Information System (LRMIS). The Punjab Land Registry manages all land and property issues in the province.

How to check property

All property and land records are available on the official website of Punjab Zameen. The steps to inspect property and land ownership in Punjab are as follows:

• Visit the official website of Punjab Zameen https://www.punjab-zameen.gov.pk/
• You can search for property details on the home page of the site.
• First select the region from the drop-down menu. You must select the area where the property or land is located.
• Now select Education from the drop-down menu.
• Then select the Region where your property is located from the drop-down menu.
• In the next step, you will be given three options to search. You can search by CNIC, Name or Khewat number (Property number).
• If you want to search by CNIC, you must enter the 14 digits of the CNIC.
• Then press enter

The Punjab Land Record Authority (PLRA) has also launched a mobile application for this purpose. However, this is only available for Android users.

The Sindh Income Council has also launched this online system for people who own property in Sindh. Just go to https://sindhzameen.gos.pk/PropertyRegister.aspx and check the ownership of the property or land. The Sindh Revenue Council manages all property and land issues in the province.

This online system has made people’s lives easier and they can easily search for property in their homes. Digitization of land and property records is a major step by the Pakistani government, and we hope that the CPC and the Balochistan government will also launch this online system for property registration.
