OnePlus Nord 3

OnePlus Nord 3 Everything We Need To know So Far

OnePlus is developing the latest version of the affordable Nord series. That’s all we know about the OnePlus Nord 3.

It seems that OnePlus is making the final touches to the successor of the excellent Nord 2. These are the latest news and rumors about the much-anticipated OnePlus Nord 3.

When Will OnePlus Nord 3 Be Released?

OnePlus has not yet officially announced the Nord 3, so there is no set launch date. What we see are some clear indications of when it may appear.

Android Central says the OnePlus Nord 3 will feature a 150W Super VOOC fast charging feature recently introduced by Oppo (OnePlus’s stable partner at BBK Electronics). The company said it would introduce a new model in the second quarter of 2022 with a super fast charging standard. It is expected to be Nord 3, which provides a potential window for April-June 2022.

With the Nord series, which traditionally comes in the summer, Nord 3 seems to be scheduled for release in June. Here is the release date of its predecessors:

OnePlus Nord: August 2020 OnePlus Nord 2: July 2021 The new device is likely to be the OnePlus Nord 2T instead of the OnePlus Nord 3, and there are some rumors and speculations about it. In any case, it shouldn’t take us long to find out.

How Much Will The OnePlus Nord 3 Cost?

Again, there is no information about prices from OnePlus, so we can only look at the previous model as an indicator. Nord 2 5G has introduced a number of configurations with the following price tags:

  1. 6GB RAM + 128GB storage: ₹27,999
  2. 8GB RAM + 128GB storage: £399/€399/₹29,999/$529
  3. 12GB RAM + 256GB storage: £469/€499/₹34,999/$629

Now that OnePlus has a few devices in its current range, we’d be surprised to see any significant price increases as it will require the addition of others to keep the build intact. As we’ve all pointed out, it’s clear that the cost of living as a whole is increasing, so it’s possible that the above numbers are going up, but we hope that’s not the case.

What features and features will we see in the OnePlus Nord 3?

As you probably know, there are no confirmed details on what components we will find in the OnePlus Nord 3 (other than the fast charging feature). However, several rumors have surfaced that the device will be based on the Realme GT Neo 3, which is expected to go on sale in March 2022 (at least in China).

With that in mind, this is what OnePlus has developed for the Nord 3.

The silicon chosen in the Nord 3 has a good chance of having the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chipset, according to a spec usually leaked from a trusted Digital Chat Station. This would be an improvement over the Dimensity 1200 SoC in the Nord 2, but having more than the previous chip makes it a bit confusing.

The Dimensity 8100 SoC supports a 5 nanometer process smaller than 1,200, plus various advanced features for cameras, faster RAM, and 120Hz refresh rates for displays (something that will become more standard on phones in 2022).

The Digital Chat Station adds that it will be bundled with 12GB of LPDRR5 RAM and an unknown amount of UFS 3.1 memory – though we still expect a lot of RAM and storage options.

We’ve seen several different rumors that OnePlus is abandoning the 6.43-inch screen of the Nord 2 in favor of the larger 6.7-inch panel on the Nord 3. It is thought to feature Full HD+, AMOLED and the aforementioned 120Hz update. degrees. If so, the Nord 2 will be a solid improvement.

OnePlus’ predecessor, the Nord 3, is expected to retain its triple rear camera configuration with a 50Mp main shooter surrounded by 8Mp (ultra-wide) and 2Mp (monochrome) blocks. Both GizmoChina and Digital Chat Station say the main camera will be based on the 50Mp Sony IMX766 sensor used in the OnePlus Nord 2 and OnePlus 9RT.

Battery and charging

As mentioned earlier, the Nord 3 has a great chance to support the latest fast charging features offered by the new 150W Super-Vooc technology. When told to connect to a 4500mAh battery, it should see the charge go from zero to 100% within 15 minutes. This should indicate that your phone is dead at night as it can be fully charged when you get dressed in the morning.

We’ll update this article as more information becomes available, so check back to see what we found. Be sure to read our guide to the best OnePlus phones to see where the Nord 3 stands in the pantheon of brands.
