Xiaomi has added two new models to its POCO lineup at this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC). This includes the 4G version of the Poco M4 Pro, as well as the mid-range X series with an improved camera.
However, both of these new smartphones offer very impressive features due to the price tags they carry. In this article we will discuss Poco X4 Pro 5G.
Design and Screen
In terms of screen, the Poco X4 Pro 5G has a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a 20: 9 aspect ratio. Like last year’s X3 Pro, it comes with a 120Hz refresh rate along with a 360Hz touch selection speed. This time, the POCO X4, unlike last year’s model, comes with IP53 for basic dust and water resistance, along with Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
Storage and Hardware
Under the hood, the X4 Pro features a Snapdragon 695 chipset based on 6nm architecture. This chip is the successor to the Snapdragon 690 with a 15 percent higher CPU and 30 percent higher GPU performance, making it an efficient chip, but still not compatible with the Snapdragon 860 running the X3 Pro.
In terms of software, the smartphone runs on Android 11 with MIUI 13 for POCO.
The smartphone allows two memory options, one 6/128 GB and the other 8/256 GB. The memory can be expanded using a hybrid slot, which means that if you don’t have a second SIM card, you can add a microSD card. Also available in MIUI 13, Virtual RAM adds 2GB to the 6GB model and 3GB to the 8GB model.
Additional connection options include a Hi-Res Audio-certified 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.1, an IR blaster and a sub-6 5G connection with NFC. You will also find dual speakers and a Z-axis linear motor.
For photography, the X4 Pro has a triple lens device controlled by a 108MP main sensor. The main sensor is also supported with 8MP ultra wide and 2MP macro.
The perforated selfie camera also has a 16MP sensor, which is slightly lower than the XM Pro’s 20MP.
Battery And Availability
The smartphone is powered by a large 5000 mAh battery with a built-in adapter that can be charged to 67 watts. When the charger is discharged, it can recover up to 70% in about 20 minutes, and a full 100% charge is obtained in 41 minutes.
The Poco X4 Pro 5G will be available from March 2. The 6/128 GB unit is currently priced at around € 300 (~ $ 335), while the 8/256 GB model is expected to start at € 350 (~ $ 391).
