Android 12 has hardly arrived on phones around the world, but now is the time to look forward to Android 13, now 2022 is here. Google has released the first Developer Preview for Android 13, which allows us to take a quick look at the future.
While Android 13 is still in its infancy, Xiaomi is already planning which devices it will get. The Chinese company has not yet made an official announcement, but we already know which Xiaomi phones will get Android 13 thanks to a leak from the Xiaomiui tech block.
As the name suggests, Xiaomiui primarily covers Xiaomi news and leaks and has good experience in sharing accurate leaks, so Android 13 news is probably also reliable. However, there may still be minor changes to the global distribution list as the news has not yet been formalized.
Here is the complete list shared by Xiaomiui
Unfortunately, Android 13 will not be able to reach older Xiaomi devices such as the Redmi Note 9, Poco X3, Redmi 10A, Mi 10 Lite or even the upper mid-range Mi Note 10 Lite.
When it comes to OS updates, Xiaomi still lags behind Samsung. Budget Xiaomi phones usually only get one major OS update, while premium phones last up to 2 years. Samsung, on the other hand, recently started promising 3-year operating system updates for mid-range phones and even 4 major updates for its flagships.
