One by one, smartphone companies are entering the folding phone market. Samsung is the leader in the Galaxy Z Fold series, followed by Huawei, Motorola, Xiaomi, Oppo and others.
Of course, it’s time for another company to join the fight. Vivo could be the next, as the Chinese consultant shared details about the brand’s first foldable smartphone Vivo Nex Fold.
The consultant talks about the features and size of the folding phone’s battery. Vivo claims that the Nex Fold will come with a combination of a 4600 mAh battery and a 50W + 80W fast charger. This filling combination is “not the biggest, but very luxurious.” This probably means that this may not be the fastest charging technology available on a foldable phone, but it is most likely an advanced charging technology.
Foldable phones have a two-cell battery device; this means that there are two power cells combined to work as one. According to Tipster, it will be connected at only 4,600 mAh, but there is no official confirmation yet.
An old leak claimed that the Vivo Nex Fold would bring a 5x periscope magnification camera. These cameras are generally reserved for flagship phones, so it is clear that the Vivo Nex Fold will be no less than a premium foldable similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold.
As rumors of a mill leak become widespread, Vivo’s first foldable model will go on sale this year.
